CTPAT and AEO Solutions

CTPAT Certification

Introduced in 2001, the Customs Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (CTPAT) is a voluntary, incentive based partnership between the U.S. government and the private sector, focused on improving the security of supply chains.

Centipid has a 100% success rate in helping companies get certified. We will guide you through the certification process, help you gain senior management program support, identify and resolve gaps, implement the necessary processes and procedures, train your team, and assist you in submitting your online Security Profile on the Customs and Border Protection (CBP) portal. Once your company is certified, Centipid will ensure your company remains in the program, assisting with your annual self-assessment, annual Security Profile update, and training. We’ll be right by your side through periodic CBP revalidations, too. CTPAT member companies save time, save money and mitigate risk.

CTPAT Security Manual

Centipid's CTPAT Security Manual template is a guide to help prepare your team for CTPAT certification and validation. Whether you're new to the CTPAT program or looking for some best-practice processes and procedures before a revalidation, it's a great tool that saves you time, and assures none of CBP's Minimum Security Criteria are missed. Decades of CTPAT and supply chain security experience and expertise are built into this product. The manual's contents can be customized to your company's needs too, as the size, scope, and nature of your business will determine the types of processes and procedures required. Centipid’s CTPAT Security Manual leverages what we've learned throughout the life span of the program to set your company on a path to Tier 3 CTPAT status and benefits.

5 Step Risk Assessment

Centipid provides a best-practice platform for the management and execution of CBP's required CTPAT 5 Step Risk Assessment. Our CTPAT Risk Assessment product covers all of CBP’s requirements including:

  • Cargo Flow Map

  • Threat Assessment

  • Vulnerability Assessment

  • Action Plan

  • Business Partner Surveys and Follow-up

  • Evidence of implementation

Self-Assessments

Centipid will conduct gap analyses at your U.S. locations to identify areas that need improvement, reviewing your company's policies, procedures and practices (evidence of implementation) to ensure they meet CBP's CTPAT Minimum Security Criteria. We provide a comprehensive gap analysis report so your company can take corrective action on the vulnerabilities found during the audit.

Revalidations & Mock Audits

Centipid has a 100% success rate with its clients' revalidations. To ensure they are a success, Centipid conducts gap-analyses first to identify areas that need improvement. We review written procedures to confirm they align with the company's CTPAT Security Profile and the processes that are followed in the company's day-to-day business. Centipid confirms all required documentation and evidence of implementation is in place, and prepares foreign suppliers that may be selected for revalidation.  After the gap analyses are conducted, we provide practical recommendations to correct vulnerabilities found during the mock audit. We conduct mock revalidation sessions to prepare the company's team for questions CBP may ask during the meeting, ensuring they are familiar with the process and ready to share documentation and evidence of implementation when requested by CBP. We attend the validation with our client to provide support if needed during the meeting, and we help our clients with any post-validation follow up.

Centipid also provides domestic and international mock audits as a stand-alone product. The audits are followed by a comprehensive report listing gaps and recommendations on corrective actions.

Maintenance Program

Once your company is CTPAT certified, CBP requires its member companies to maintain their security processes and procedures to meet CTPAT Minimum Security Criteria on an on-going basis, making CTPAT an integral part of the company's culture. During periodic revalidations, CBP will check for evidence of on-going implementation of the processes the member company outlines in its Security Profile uploaded to CBP's CTPAT portal on a yearly basis.

Centipid's Maintenance product helps ensure your company stays certified. On an annual basis, we'll work with your team to:

  • Perform an annual security self-assessment at all US locations

  • Submit the company’s annual CTPAT Security Profile update

  • Update the company’s 5 Step Risk Assessment

  • Train employees and business partners

  • Perform security assessments of your business partners based on risk

AEO

An Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) is defined by the World Customs Organization (WCO) SAFE Framework of Standards as a party involved in the international movement of goods, in whatever function, that has been approved by, or on behalf of, a national Customs administration as complying with WCO or equivalent supply chain security standards.

Certification Process

Centipid will guide you through the certification process. An initial audit will be performed to identify gaps and help you implement the AEO requirements including:

  • Self assessment questionnaire

  • Gap analysis

  • Procedures

  • Preparation for audit

  • Maintenance program
